Under the Dome
The Museum's largest and most dramatic space, with near-360-degree views over Auckland by day and by night. Seat 450 for a banquet, host 500 standing, or fill 600 seats theatre-style - with two pre-function areas included for pre-drinks or breakout moments.

Te Ao Mārama Atrium
One of the Museum's newest spaces, framed by striking Māori and Pacific artworks. A refined setting for up to 300 seated guests or 400 for cocktails, available evenings (except Tuesdays), with guest arrival from 6.30pm.

Grand Foyer
The neo-classical heart of Auckland Museum, with soaring columns, polished marble floors and a spectacular stained-glass ceiling three storeys above - a statement setting for a formal dinner or a grand cocktail evening.
Available for evening events 6 days a week.
Up to 150 for a seated dinner.
Up to 300 cocktail-style (500 when combined with the Champagne Mezzanine).
Champagne Mezzanine
An elegant vantage point overlooking the Grand Foyer, made for a cocktail evening with a view over the Museum's neo-classical architecture below. Pairs naturally with the Grand Foyer or Under the Dome as a pre-function space.
Available evenings, 6 days a week (except Tuesdays), guest arrival from 6.30pm.

Origins Gallery
Cocktails amongst the dinosaurs - mingle beside the Museum's mighty moa and dinosaur specimens for an event guests won't forget. Also available as a pre-function space alongside the Grand Foyer or Under the Dome.

Whaowhia
An intimate, wood-panelled art deco boardroom in the original Museum building - perfect for a private dinner, small celebration or business meeting with real character. Comes with its own kitchenette and full AV, including a 75" screen and wireless microphones.
Available day and evening, 7 days a week.

Includes video-conferencing and presentation equipment.
Auditorium and Lobby
A purpose-built theatre for lectures, presentations and performances, with the adjoining Lobby doubling as a pre-function space for drinks and mingling before or between sessions.
Available evenings, 7 days a week, guest arrival from 5pm.
